MINI ROSE BUSH - no watering required

DONE!!! I made this for my Mom for Mothers Day.  GEEZ!!! I didn't think it would take so long.....but I'm satisfied with the outcome....note to self.....make the roses a little bit bigger and use brighter red paper...
I don't know how many roses I made...I cut 40 petals..some are one layer(bud) 2 layer(bud) 3-4 layer roses, then I tried to give each rose 1-2 leaves.
I followed this video-link below- I cut the petals from the George and Basic Shapes cart, single leaf from Plantin Schoolbook 1" cut two(front/back) and the double leaf from Gypsy Wanderings 1.25" cut two and the starfish from A Childs Year cut 1" . I inked all the edges on everything then took my McGills embossing tools and embossed the petals till they were soft and I scored down the center of all the leaves.
The flower pot I got from the Silhouette store...I cut it apart so I could emboss it then made tabs to glue it back together..LOL
I used 22 gauge floral wire for the rose stems and 30 gauge for the leaves. To assemble I twisted 3-4 roses together then covered everything with floral tape.

Sympathy card

clic on pics to enlarge
Oh...so so sad.......My SIL father (who's like a grandpa to me) has gone home with hospice. I decided to start on my sympathy cards for the family.  The sentiment was done on the computer.

The dove is from Beyond Birthdays cart cut @ 2.25"h
On the inside the wings are from Gypsy Wanderings cut @ 2.69"h, angel is from A Childs Year (font): a @ .96"- N @ .70" - G @.76" - e @ .72" - L @ .76"  and the halo is from George and Basic Shapes (ovals) outer ring @ 1.13"h and inner ring @ .83"h.

this is how I welded it together - cut it out of white glossy cardstock

then welded angel together and cut it out of blue cardstock
when you weld your letters together slide them over and make sure they fit on the wings(aligning your "G's")

I cut an extra halo out of gold metallic cardstock and traced the angel with stickles and put pop dots behind the wings and slightly curved up the wings for dimension.
Sorry, I'm not sharing this file.

What time is it???

CRICUT TIME OF COURSE!!!!!! ROTFLOL!!!!!!
Do ya think I'm addicted to the cricut?? LOL I guess that's why I'm called CRICaholic.....
supplies: 11" clock,  green and white cardstock, carts: Car Decals and George and Basic Shapes and Don Juan
I got the clock at Wal-Mart its 11" diameter. I made an 11.50" circle and a .50" circle(centered) using George and Basic Shapes cart. I couldn't get the hands off the clock so I cut a slit and slipped it on the clock and glued down the edges.  I cut out my cricut heads using Car decals @  2.50"h  and cut out the numbers from Don Juan @ 1.25"h. I started turning the hands on the clock and at every hour on the clock I glued down the numbers and cricut heads. Trimmed the excess paper around the clock, put in a battery and I have a CRICUT clock!!

SAVE THE DATE

clic on pics to enlarge
Here is  a "pull tag" I made for someone at work she needed something within a week. I made 20 of them. She LOVES IT!!!!!! I'm very proud of myself. This is the first for "business" project I've done. I must say.....it was kind of fun making something for $$....LOL!!!  Her wedding colors are black and gold.
supplies:
gypsy
carts-Sweetheart,  George & Basic Shapes, Plantin Schoolbook
cardstock: black, white and gold
Dazzling Diamods glitter from SU
Sentiment was done on the computer

the envelope is from the sweetheart cart, I didn't like the V cut in it so I welded a square to cover it. I used the double rings and welded 3 "prongs" (retangles) to one of the rings then sized the diamond down to fit and hid the partial ring. I applied glue to the diamond and sprinkled dazzling diamonds. BOY!! does it SPARKLE!! The letters are from Plantin Schoolbook

The tag is also from Sweethearts. I welded the Bride and Groom to rectangles and put the sentiment in the middle that was done on the computer. Added gold ribbon along the top.

Like I said, she wanted 20 of them......hummmmmm....how do I present them......so I made two bags from Plantin Schoolbook and put 10 cards in each one. GORGEOUS isn't it???

Despite the crunch time...it was fun especially since I got PAID!!!! I LOVE the $$ but I'm NOT for hire very often...ROTFLOL!!! This is my hobby not my business!!!!

I know your thinking....WHAT???
I live about 600 miles from my niece, I knew my old car wouldn't make it that far. I couldn't fly because I wanted to visit "The Container Store" and get some more shelving units for my crafts(shipping is expensive!)....you can't fit those in a suitcase....LOL!! PLUS I had to shop ALL the SUPER CRAFT Storess...ss. I couldn't miss this important day....I mean opportunity.....ROTFLOL!!!! So I bought a new SUV.......long story short...the wedding/family gathering/SHOPPING FOR CRAFTS was SUPER FANTASTIC!!!! See...the card is funny!!! Especially since the family is still debating....did I go for the wedding or the CRAFTS......hhhmmmmm I'll never tell....

MS ornament on gypsy!!

CLIC on pics to enlarge
I've seen some posts with the MS ornament and HEY! I wonder if you can do that on the gypsy????
YES, you can and NO WELDING!!!! Aren't they PRETTY!!!??? and the BEST part is since its on the gypsy you can adjust the size!!!! This tutorial is for the 6"
I Like the 1st one- its double sided 6" ds paper from SU and its a green background on one side and a cream color on the other. The 2nd one is green on green.

Here's how to make yours:
on layer 1 (gypsy screen) with the REAL DIAL SIZE ON ALWAYS!  I got my squares from the George cart, but you you can use any square. You'll need 4 squares. 1st SQ= 5", 2nd SQ= 4", 3rd SQ= 3" and 4th SQ= 2". Stack them on top of one another doing your best to center them. GROUP THEM!

Turn your design 45 degrees and line it up the the 6" cross bars

You need a rectangle,  I used the George cart. size it to .50w x 9.50h, center it down the middle of your design( DO NOT GROUP IT!)

OK, we are done with this layer....go to LAYER 2 ...open the eye on layer 1 so you can see your design. the chain link that is below the width/height turn it OFF. We need to make our "cutting lines". Get a rectangle, I used George  size it to .10w x 4.65h  turn it 45 degrees(counting from the outside toward the center)  line it up on the first square line, copy and repeat for the other three sides. Make sure that your "cut line" just touches the the rectangle going down the middle for the top and bottom. BUT they overlap on the sides.

"cutting lines"(rectangle) sizes: repeat as above

2nd SQ- .10w x 3.65h
3rd SQ - .10w x 2.65h
4th SQ - .10w x 1.65h (center)

GROUP EVERYTHING!!! close the eye on layer 1 and your design should look like this. I know it looks weird but it works.

Turn your design back to 0 degrees (so it'll look like squares instead of a diamond) get another square and size it to 6" and center on your design and group it to your design. Move it to where you want to cut. As you can see you'll only be able to cut one at a time. CUT

UNLESS!!!.....you PRE-CUT your paper to 6 x 6 then you would not need the 6" square and you could delete it  then center your design in the 6" space, copy it and do the same for the other 6" spaces and cut 4 at a time.

To put it together, lay your design so that it looks like a diamond. Leave the center diamond a lone, take the second diamond and bring the outer points forward  slightly over lapping and glue. FLIP your design over and take the next diamond points and glue......repeat till you have 2 in the front and 2 in the back.. In this example I started on the outside and Well,....as you work toward the center the loops get in the way.

Punch a small hole in the top add some string....there's YOUR ORNAMENT!!!! EASY!!!!

Hope my instructions were easy to understand. ENJOY!!!
