Anniversary card

What a BLAST!!!!! I sort of lost my crafting MOJO but I'm finally getting back into the creative mode.
I made this A2 card for my nieces anniversary. I used the cricut Car Decals for the couple (man @ 1.87"h and lady @ 1.82"h) and 4mm goggley eyes. I used the emboss folder Heart Blocks with a circular diffuser (That was FUN, first time I used them). The word - Happy Couple - is from A Childs Year at 1"h. The inside was done on the silhouette.

I know I know what about my craft room??? its coming.........soon..........LOL!!! just bare with me....PLEASE!!!
When you rearrange a craft room you like how it LOOKS!!!  but........will it work??? I'm having to tweak a few things now that I'm crafting.

MINI ROSE BUSH - no watering required

DONE!!! I made this for my Mom for Mothers Day.  GEEZ!!! I didn't think it would take so long.....but I'm satisfied with the outcome....note to self.....make the roses a little bit bigger and use brighter red paper...
I don't know how many roses I made...I cut 40 petals..some are one layer(bud) 2 layer(bud) 3-4 layer roses, then I tried to give each rose 1-2 leaves.
I followed this video-link below- I cut the petals from the George and Basic Shapes cart, single leaf from Plantin Schoolbook 1" cut two(front/back) and the double leaf from Gypsy Wanderings 1.25" cut two and the starfish from A Childs Year cut 1" . I inked all the edges on everything then took my McGills embossing tools and embossed the petals till they were soft and I scored down the center of all the leaves.
The flower pot I got from the Silhouette store...I cut it apart so I could emboss it then made tabs to glue it back together..LOL
I used 22 gauge floral wire for the rose stems and 30 gauge for the leaves. To assemble I twisted 3-4 roses together then covered everything with floral tape.

Crocus in bloom.....

Spring has sprung and I'm in the mood to make flowers......Aren't my crocus BEAUTIFUL!!!!
This is how I made them...clic on the link below:
http://scrapngrow.com/recent-posts/paperie-in-bloom-march-2013-build-a-bulb-garden-week-one/

Michelle from scrapngrow is SUPER FANTASTIC!!! I had a lot of questions...considering I live in the desert and have a black thumb LOL.....but as you can see she guided me along the way.....Check out her blog - her flowers are GORGEOUS! and her tutorials are nice too!!! You too can be on your way to a "Bloomn Garden"!!!
The only thing I changed was, I made my own leaves and flower pot. The leaves are 5/8" w x 8"L strips that I rounded the corners and scored down the middle then used a white gel pen then slightly curved the leaves and added two leaves per crocus. Oh and I cut the crocus stems to 6".
The flower pot was cut from the silhouette and I found the pattern in the silhouette store.

My nephew will be turning 8 and he likes drums. So I made him this card. I used Everyday Paperdolls and cut the drummer @ 3.83"h and I cut the drums @ 3.76"h added a little bit of stickles and his name was done on the Silhouette out of vellum. The Numbers are from A Childs Year cut @ .73"h and the 8 was cut @ 1.25"h. Musical notes are from Gypsy Wanderings @ .65"h. The sentiment on the inside was done on the Silhouette.

OK, I've thought of another organization idea...gotta go put my plan into action..ROTFLOL!!!

Sympathy card

clic on pics to enlarge
Oh...so so sad.......My SIL father (who's like a grandpa to me) has gone home with hospice. I decided to start on my sympathy cards for the family.  The sentiment was done on the computer.

The dove is from Beyond Birthdays cart cut @ 2.25"h
On the inside the wings are from Gypsy Wanderings cut @ 2.69"h, angel is from A Childs Year (font): a @ .96"- N @ .70" - G @.76" - e @ .72" - L @ .76"  and the halo is from George and Basic Shapes (ovals) outer ring @ 1.13"h and inner ring @ .83"h.

this is how I welded it together - cut it out of white glossy cardstock

then welded angel together and cut it out of blue cardstock
when you weld your letters together slide them over and make sure they fit on the wings(aligning your "G's")

I cut an extra halo out of gold metallic cardstock and traced the angel with stickles and put pop dots behind the wings and slightly curved up the wings for dimension.
Sorry, I'm not sharing this file.

Birthday card

clic on pic to enlarge
LOVE this card!!! This card is for my niece. I really put on my thinking cap and got creative, I used several different carts and ALL my machines..LOL  I won't tell you how old she is...its kind of obvious..LOL
Supplies:
Banner is from the silhouette cameo @ 3.75"w
Girl is from the Imagine "Best Friends" @ 3.25"(my niece actually looks like that!!)
name is from "Lyrical letters" @ .75"
hand is from "A Childs Year" @ 2.75"
#5 is from "cursive 101" @ 1.30"
Cuttlebug "swiss Dots" embossing folder
4 pink rhinestones
and embroidery thread pink

The BEST part is the HB banner made with the silhouette cameo!!!! None of my PC machines would have been able to do this.... it was so easy and QUICK on the silhouette!!! Yes, the tiny little triangles were cut out and I glued them to the thread and then draped the thread across the card. COOL HUH??
See, ALL my machines work very well together. Yeah, I know it was a lot of money to spend on a machine just to print/cut text but its worth it to me...Now my cards will be extra special cause I can add text/sentiments...The silhouette is for small text/sentiments only and I will ALWAYS use my PC carts for my die cutting. I am a CRIC AHOLIC!!!!! ROTFLOL!!!!

PS...I helpful tip..on the imagine I LOVE the border(shadow) feature but on this girl tho I didn't like the color it gave.  I changed the border color to match the card base...it blends in with the rest of the card and you hardly notice it.. NEAT HUH?? I gotta start remembering to do that for now on.

Sympathy

clic on pic to enlarge
I got this idea when I noticed the cart Once upon a Princess had "angel/wings". I don't have that cart so I created it with my gypsy. I welded a n g e l  then welded it to the wings then welded the halo onto the "g". I then copied it and deleted the wings, halo so I could make it a different color. I did another halo so I could use metalic cs.
carts used: dove(beyond birthdays), angel (childs year), halo (George and Basic Shapes) and the wings (gypsy wanderings).
cardstock: SU perfect plum, whisper white and glossy white
                 LSS gold metalic
The sentiment was done on the computer.

you can't tell but the angel/wings have SU deminsionals and I slighly curled the wings up.
the wings have stickles-diamonds and angel as glossy accents. Its so pretty!!!

I'm going to make about 12 cards so I'll be prepared. In the past I've gone to the store because I'm just TOO SAD to create.

Grandparents Day card

Click on pics to enlarge
I made this card for my Mom from her grandkids and great grandkids.
On the gypsy I arranged the stars on the front and the sentiment was done on the computer. I used crystal stickles to outline the cut out of the stars. On the inside I recut the stars with white cs and using Justrite 6pt stamps I named each star and so they would shine I put Crystal accents over the stars (the names blurred a little) and sprinkled them with MS fine glitter. The sentiment on the inside was done on the computer.
