Graduation card

My niece is graduating from high school next week. I got the idea from the radio..LOL..I was on my way to work last week and was listening to K-Love (christian music) and the host stated he was invited to 10 grad parties and he was looking for ideas as gifts and someone called in and stated they give checks in the amount of the year they graduated ($20.13).....ROTFLOL!!! I loved this idea!!!!! I don't send checks cause my family takes forever to cash them or they don't cash them....so I'm sending cash.....HA HA HA!!
I LOVE HOW THE CARD CAME OUT!!! I'm doing this for all future graduations.....warning- those are 2013 coins too which aren't easy to find. I had everyone looking for them..LOL
I cut the paperdoll from Everyday paperdolls @ 3.46"h the name is from Lyrical Letters the shoes are from paperdoll dress up.The inside is from Cursive 101. I made a pocket for the $20 and cut a strip for the coins and cut small strips of red tape and attached them to the strip and then before attaching the coins I pressed my finger on the strips of tape so it wouldn't be so tacky (so the coins could peel off) and then stuck the coins. The coins make the card a little bulky/heavy so I think I'll mail it in a photo envelope (for safe arrival).
Oh, I used the Cricut "decorative tile" to emboss. Scraplift away......LOL

Birthday cards

A couple of Birthday cards I made using Everyday Paperdolls. The sentiments were done on the Silhouette.
The first card - Cheerleader was cut at 4"h and I tied pink twine in her hair. The 8 on her outfit was cut from Plantin Schoolbook at .64"h. The pompoms I cut 3 times decreasing each layer 3/4" and I colored them with pink markers.
The dump truck was cut at 2"h and I cut two of those in different blues and cut them apart and added liquid pearls in silver for the bottom of the truck and I used Distressed Stripes embossing folder for the bed of the truck and inked it. The 67 was cut from Cursive 101 at 1.59"h and the yrs was also cut from Cursive 101 at .72"h and welded together. The road I cut 2 one in black and one in white and I took the white dashes out and put them in the black. Theres a piece of vellum in the window and on my gypsy I sized some circles for the tires and cut those in black.

Birthday card

clic on pic to enlarge
LOVE this card!!! This card is for my niece. I really put on my thinking cap and got creative, I used several different carts and ALL my machines..LOL  I won't tell you how old she is...its kind of obvious..LOL
Supplies:
Banner is from the silhouette cameo @ 3.75"w
Girl is from the Imagine "Best Friends" @ 3.25"(my niece actually looks like that!!)
name is from "Lyrical letters" @ .75"
hand is from "A Childs Year" @ 2.75"
#5 is from "cursive 101" @ 1.30"
Cuttlebug "swiss Dots" embossing folder
4 pink rhinestones
and embroidery thread pink

The BEST part is the HB banner made with the silhouette cameo!!!! None of my PC machines would have been able to do this.... it was so easy and QUICK on the silhouette!!! Yes, the tiny little triangles were cut out and I glued them to the thread and then draped the thread across the card. COOL HUH??
See, ALL my machines work very well together. Yeah, I know it was a lot of money to spend on a machine just to print/cut text but its worth it to me...Now my cards will be extra special cause I can add text/sentiments...The silhouette is for small text/sentiments only and I will ALWAYS use my PC carts for my die cutting. I am a CRIC AHOLIC!!!!! ROTFLOL!!!!

PS...I helpful tip..on the imagine I LOVE the border(shadow) feature but on this girl tho I didn't like the color it gave.  I changed the border color to match the card base...it blends in with the rest of the card and you hardly notice it.. NEAT HUH?? I gotta start remembering to do that for now on.

The inside I used Cursive 101 cart- font (.35) welded and Chomas Creations pink gel pen/holder. George & Basic Shapes for the "17" on the candle (.44h) and the purple gel pen. Smiley Cards cart for the cupcake (1.92h). MS glitter red and gold for the flame. Gypsy wanderings for the music notes (.37h) . I know!! I should of put the "17" on the cupcake and not the candle...oh well.

I know your thinking....WHAT???
I live about 600 miles from my niece, I knew my old car wouldn't make it that far. I couldn't fly because I wanted to visit "The Container Store" and get some more shelving units for my crafts(shipping is expensive!)....you can't fit those in a suitcase....LOL!! PLUS I had to shop ALL the SUPER CRAFT Storess...ss. I couldn't miss this important day....I mean opportunity.....ROTFLOL!!!! So I bought a new SUV.......long story short...the wedding/family gathering/SHOPPING FOR CRAFTS was SUPER FANTASTIC!!!! See...the card is funny!!! Especially since the family is still debating....did I go for the wedding or the CRAFTS......hhhmmmmm I'll never tell....
