I'm gradually getting back into my craftroom.... I'm on facebook and WOW the groups I'm in are addicted to vinyl. Well, I don't have that much and I wanted more so I went to expressionsvinyl.com and ordered their vinyl samples. GEE WIZZ didn't know there were so many different types/styles of vinyl.
The OCD in me had to organize the samples and here is what I did....Now all I need to do is order the vinyl LOL!!!
the picture does not do the samples justice( the colors and everything is GORGEOUS!!)
Whats What?? I labeled them and then on index cards I wrote out the directions, put the index cards on the rings and put the samples in a drawer near my crafting desk
So the vinyl I did have was on rolls, and that was taking up to much room in my jet max cubes. I HATE ROLLED vinyl it's hard to get it to stick down to the mat. Anyway I decided to cut it into 12x12 sheets. DANG! it wants to roll up..... aarrgh..... I set huge notebook/books on top and left it for several days.
I went to Hobby Lobby and found these, it was a pkg of 10. PERFECT!!!
OCD kicks in and I made labels on the silhouette, for now I've stuck it to the side. If I like this I'll stick labels on the front too.
for the vinyl I already had I put the directions inside
and this is how its stored/organized
jetmax cube (bottom) - 3rd slot is removable vinyl, 4th slot is HTV and 5th slot is permanent
let me see what else needs to be done in my craftroom.

Valentines cards
OK OK I LIED!!!! my craftroom is NOT done but I had to make Valentines cards.
I found the heart in the Silhouette store. Don't you just love the sheer ribbon? it's so pretty!! I have lots of ribbon...I need to start using it. It makes the card look so pretty!
Speaking of craftrooms.......I'm glad I broke my rule and crafted.....I don't like how its set up/organized...I have to rearrange some furniture and redo some organizing....

Baby Shower gift bag
I went to the store to get a baby gift bag and they were out, so I got this plain one and decorated it myself.
I Love how it came out, I did the design on both sides. I found the expecting mom in the silhouette store and and add the letters "baby".

Birthday card for Mom
Card I made for my Mom. She LOVES ice cream cones and her favorite stop is DQ! So I found the pattern in the Silhouette store, made her card and stuck a DQ gift card in side. She was super excited to go try it out. HA HA I took her to Olive Garden for lunch then DQ for dessert.

Birthday cards
Birthday cards I made for my son and Well, make another just like the other for a friend.
Remember my craftroom is a mess - I've moved my Moms sewing /quilting stuff out and now I'm trying to set up my whole craftroom!!!!! It's a disaster zone, I really can't craft.
I found the TV in the silhouette store and added my own TV screen designs. I love the TV but I should of added something else to the front of the card its blah....but it was a last minute idea and with my craftroom such a mess I'm not into crafting.

Yeah, its pretty sparkly, but there is more glitter in my craftroom and through out the house than there is on the cards!!! HA HA HA!!!! its not funny.....

NURSES tags
TA DA!!!!!after 3 months of working on these tags for my co-workers I am FINALLY finished.
I made nurses tags in the past but I used the Cricut and the Paper dolls carts and with all that layering and lamination... they didn't last. There were too many layers to laminate it properly. So over the years I've tried to think of something better...Lettering Delights to the rescue!!! with LD and my silhouette and a printer I can PRINT & CUT now!!! WAAHOO!!!!! perfect lamination and if I must say... I LOVE these nurses tags BETTER!!!! more of a variety. As you'll see......
The tags are 4.5"w x 5.25"h
the nurses range from 3.87"w x 2.16"w to 4.05"h x 3.14"w
the syringe is 3.04"w x .75"h ( found in the silhouette store)
heartbeat is pieced together to go across the card and is in the silhouette store.
Lettering Delights: Stringbean Moms
Stringbean Dads
Stringbean Sons
Millions of Mums
I printed the tags on Recollections 64lb white cardstock.(8.5 x 11 I turned the tags sideways, so I could get two printed- I just printed them and cut them out myself)
I used my Epson Artisan 1430 printer(each printer varies) setting:
Text only- Paper -8.5 x 11- Presentation Paper Matte
Skin tones - R G B
white - 254-223-211
Hispanic - 225-184-153
Black - 139-69-19
mini minc machine set to 4- ran it thru twice.
In the past I took the tags to Office Depot to laminate.....cha ching....that got expensive.
Now, I have a mini Minc machine and laminated them myself! HUGE SAVINGS!!!!!
I was at JoAnns a few weeks ago and SCORE (sort of) I found Scotch Laminating 100 Pouches 5ml.
I had a coupon 40% off......NOPE!!!! NO COUPON can be used its considered a "door buster". What the "H" is a door buster? Special products they sell.... the price was $39.99 plus tax thats still a great price per sheet.
I had 20 tags so I took 10 laminating sheets and cut them down to 5.25"w x 6"h. I can get two tags per sheet and I saved the excess for future projects.
How did I create these adorable nurses???? there was a lot of: ungroup, weld, crop, group, delete, slice, erase and playing around with those dots(when you double click on an object they appear). So in other words your on your own...Good Luck!
the tags above are not laminated. I didn't think I'd be able to take a good picture because of the glare afterwards.
heres what it'll look like afterwards. sorry about the glare (I tried to block the light) I left about a 3/8" border around the tag. PERFECT!!!!
At work the nurses have these carts with computers on them and the carts have a ridge near the computer screen that the tags will sit in and the screen will keep them propped up.
I'll take them in tomorrow and hopefully get them all passed out by next week. These are just for the shift I work on, the other shift is going to want them and to keep harmony in the work place I will make them BUT after the holidays. These were time consuming and I have to get started on my holiday projects.
I created a link "nurses tags" on the right side of my blog so you can see all the nurses tags.

Birthday card
Birthday card I made for my nephew. I think he'll like it...where does the time go.
found the phrases in the silhouette store, I cut the layers out of cardstock (its not a print n cut).
GOOD NEWS:
I don't think I've lost my MO-JO....I think it got misplaced in the rearranging/organizing my craftroom. While making this card I've decided I do NOT like how my craftroom is coming together. I was trying to get my crafts/office to share the same space and NOPE!!!! its too crowed for my crafting. I need space to spread out when crafting. So back to the drawing board and figure something else out....
LOL - I need therapy...Today I made myself go to Michaels and Hobby Lobby and I will not walk out without buying something?????? At HL I bought new blades for my cutter I won't mention
the other stuff I had in my cart and ended up putting back......at least I bought something...then I went to Michaels and ended up leaving with tape for my ATG and xyron 1.5 refill. Its not much I know... but at least its something and I do feel a little better. OK, let me go and redesign my room.

Anniversary card
Saw this card in the Silhouette store and I just had to get it. It's so Cute!!!
Its for my brother and sister in law's anniversary.
it'll fit in an A2 envelope. I used AC silver and gold cardstock for the toaster and adapted the pattern so I'd have an outside and inside piece of buttered toast.
I love this toaster/card!!!
