Believe it or not this is material, My Mom made mitten ornaments for the twins 1st Christmas. I just ironed on the silver glitter vinyl. PRETTY huh?

Christmas cards

FUN FUN FUN!! My Christmas cards all done with the Explore. I can't say enough how this machine has really opened up my creativity!! I LOVE IT!!!!

Santa is on an action wobble.....ho ho ho...full of Christmas Cheer!!!
The Explore even did the inside, sadly I only had one pen (black) and as it was writing I kept thinking I need more pens!!! This would have been so festive if I made the words red and green...

envelopes I made with the punch board (5 ea)

Glittery ornaments

I finally got around to making those glitter ornaments.
They were so easy and fun!!! I cut the names with the Explore. (LOVE the Explore!!)
These ornaments are for the children in the family.

Aren't they PRETTY? With the glitter in the ornaments then the names cut out of glitter vinyl. They are so SPARKLY !!

Baby Shower gift bag

I went to the store to get a baby gift bag and they were out, so I got this plain one and decorated it myself.
I  Love how it came out, I did the design on both sides.  I found the expecting mom in the silhouette store and and add the letters "baby".

Birthday card for Mom

Card I made for my Mom. She LOVES ice cream cones and her favorite stop is DQ! So I found the pattern in the Silhouette store, made her card and stuck a DQ gift card in side. She was super excited to go try it out. HA HA I took her to Olive Garden for lunch then DQ for dessert.

New Baby in the house..Whoot Whoot!!!!

Went to JoAnns last night and I couldn't resist....
They had the Cricut Explore One for $149.
I can't tell you how this has really lifted my Crafting Spirits!!!
Even though my craft room is a disaster zone (rearranging/organizing) I was really in a crafters slump before that and I guess I was just bored with the old cricut having to go through all the handbooks etc and so the silhouette came in and that was fun but I really missed the cricut......So now with the explore one and design space I'm really excited to get my craftroom set up and start playing again.
I always go shopping on black Friday at Michaels and Hobby Lobby but theres really nothing I need and I really want to get my craft room done so I can start playing with my new toy....so I think I'll stay home and get my craftroom ready.HA HA HA

Oh, thats a sneak peek of my craft desk I've set up in my room. LOVE IT!!!!!!
its funny how the rest of the room is a disaster but at least I have my craft desk set up...HA HA HA

Birthday cards

Birthday cards I made for my son and Well,  make another just like the other for a friend.
Remember my craftroom is a mess - I've moved my Moms sewing /quilting stuff out and now I'm trying to set up my whole craftroom!!!!! It's a disaster zone, I really can't craft.
I found the TV in the silhouette store and added my own TV screen designs. I love the TV but I should of added something else to the front of the card its blah....but it was a last minute idea and with my craftroom such a mess I'm not into crafting.

Thanksgiving cards

Here's my Thanksgiving cards I made. Everything came from the silhouette store. I glittered the front.
Yeah, its pretty sparkly, but there is more glitter in my craftroom and through out the house than there is on the cards!!! HA HA HA!!!! its not funny.....

Moving AGAIN!!!!!

AAAAKKK!!!! I can't stand the tiny space(area) my crafts are in. Its NOT going to work. So through a lot of thought......."If Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy" and I am not a happy crafter!!!!! I do my best to please everyone in my household...but time is up!!! We are ALL grown adults and THIS IS MY HOUSE!! it's time to PLEASE ME!!!! My youngest son has the biggest room in the house and instead of moving back into the small bedroom I once had as a craftroom and was still kind of cramped. I head of this household have decided I WILL be taking the BIGGEST room in the house as my craftroom!!!!! NO if's, and's or buts!!!! you don't like it? Well your a grown adult move out! I'll break the news at supper tonight. ha ha ha
The holidays are upon us...I just have to figure out when to get this done. It will be done within the next few weeks otherwise I might chicken out....ha ha NOT!!! this is MY HOUSE!! I have to keep telling myself that, it gives me courage.....stay tuned

UPDATE:

Its Thursday morning and I think I've calmed down....I broke the news at supper time yesterday.....
WOW!! I did not see that coming. My Mom(who lives with me) through a fit!!! The boys didn't say anything. I love my Mom with all respect but BOY! did we get into an argument. Long argument short-I will move my Moms sewing stuff into my old craft room and I can have her sewing room (which is a BIG room).
I'm happy that I get this whole room but I feel bad about how it came about.

Remember these?

LOL!!! I'm still in the process of decluttering my craft stuff. I AM NOT A HOARDER!!!!!
OK, I was! but now I'm not!!!! I'm emptying my craft boxes and I have a lot of 3 ring binders stuffed with stuff. I didn't think I was a hoarder but WOW!!! I couldn't believe the stuff  I was holding on to...out of sight out of mind. My old craft room had a closet full of crafts but my new area doesn't have a closet and I don't have room to put 3/4 of the stuff. So its weeding out time. Look what I found!!!! HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!
I have a Cricut and 50+ cartridges and I have a Silhouette with tons of designs. Why?  am I still holding on to these(cause I forgot I had them)?????? I've had them since 1998. I AM NOT A HOARDER!!!!  Out they go.......They brought back a lot of  fond memories though...sniff sniff....

Wonder what the price would be today?? HA HA

Packing up and moving

There's been some changes on the home front and my craftroom had to be turned back into a bedroom.
Holey Smoleys!!!! Oh where oh where, will I SQUEEZE my crafts.....when you've had a whole room for several years...WOWZA! your crafts really... really... multiply and spread out...................
My Mom has agreed to give up a 1/4 of her "Quilt Room". Smile, on my face!!!! there will be a lot of weeding out and DECLUTTERING!!!! . My crafts are all packed and for the last two days I've been trying to figure out where and how to put the furniture. Between my Moms sewing stuff ( she's a Quilter) and my crafts....it almost seemed impossible. It's night time now and I think I finally have it laid out. I thought I could get this done in 3 days but I've wasted 2 days just moving furniture around.Tomorrows my last day before I have to go back to work. Theres no way I can get all her sewing and my crafting supplies in their proper places. We're going to have to live with this disastrous mess for another week. IT'S A MESS!!!!! theres sewing and craft stuff through out the whole house. Did I mention that Halloween is just around the corner and then its Thanksgiving and Christmas..........I want to just CRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NURSES tags

TA DA!!!!!after 3 months of working on these tags for my co-workers I am FINALLY finished.
I made nurses tags in the past but I used the Cricut and the Paper dolls carts and with all that layering and lamination... they didn't last. There were too many layers to laminate it properly. So over the years I've tried to think of something better...Lettering Delights to the rescue!!! with LD and my silhouette and a printer I can PRINT & CUT now!!! WAAHOO!!!!! perfect lamination and if I must say... I LOVE these nurses tags BETTER!!!! more of a variety. As you'll see......
The tags are 4.5"w x 5.25"h
the nurses range from 3.87"w x 2.16"w  to  4.05"h x 3.14"w
the syringe is 3.04"w x .75"h ( found in the silhouette store)
heartbeat is pieced together to go across the card and is in the silhouette store.

Lettering Delights: Stringbean Moms
                            Stringbean Dads
                            Stringbean Sons
                            Millions of Mums

I printed the tags on Recollections 64lb white cardstock.(8.5 x 11 I turned the tags sideways, so I could get two printed- I just printed them and cut them out myself)
I used my Epson Artisan 1430 printer(each printer varies) setting:
Text only- Paper -8.5 x 11- Presentation Paper Matte

Skin tones - R G B
white - 254-223-211
Hispanic - 225-184-153
Black - 139-69-19

mini minc machine set to 4- ran it thru twice.

In the past I took the tags to Office Depot to laminate.....cha ching....that got expensive.
Now, I have a mini Minc machine and laminated them myself! HUGE SAVINGS!!!!!
I was at JoAnns a few weeks ago and SCORE (sort of) I found Scotch Laminating 100 Pouches 5ml.
I had a coupon 40% off......NOPE!!!! NO COUPON can be used its considered a "door buster". What the "H" is a door buster?  Special products they sell.... the price was $39.99 plus tax thats still a great price per sheet.
I had 20 tags so I took 10 laminating sheets and cut them down to 5.25"w x 6"h. I can get two tags per sheet and I saved the excess for future projects.

How did I create these adorable nurses???? there was a lot of:  ungroup, weld, crop, group, delete, slice, erase and playing around with those dots(when you double click on an object they appear). So in other words your on your own...Good Luck!

the tags above are not laminated. I didn't think I'd be able to take a good picture because of the glare afterwards.
heres what it'll look like afterwards. sorry about the glare (I tried to block the light) I left about a  3/8" border around the tag. PERFECT!!!!

At work the nurses have these carts with computers on them and the carts have a ridge near the computer screen that the tags will sit in and the screen will keep them propped up.
I'll take them in tomorrow and hopefully get them all passed out by next week. These are just for the shift I work on, the other shift is going to want them and to keep harmony in the work place I will make them BUT after the holidays. These were time consuming and I have to get started on my holiday projects.

I created a link "nurses tags" on the right side of my blog so you can see all the nurses tags.

Birthday card

Birthday card I made for my nephew. I think he'll like it...where does the time go.
found the phrases in the silhouette store, I cut the layers out of cardstock (its not a print n cut).

GOOD NEWS:
I don't think I've lost my MO-JO....I think it got misplaced in the rearranging/organizing my craftroom.  While making this card I've decided I do NOT like how my craftroom is coming together. I was trying to get my crafts/office to share the same space and NOPE!!!! its too crowed for my crafting. I need space to spread out when crafting. So back to the drawing board and figure something else out....
LOL - I need therapy...Today I made myself go to Michaels and Hobby Lobby and I will not walk out without buying something?????? At HL I bought new blades for my cutter I won't mention
the other stuff I had in my cart and ended up putting back......at least I bought something...then I went to Michaels and ended up leaving with tape for my ATG and xyron 1.5 refill. Its not much I know... but at least its something and I do feel a little better. OK, let me go and redesign my room.

Have you found it???

:(  I have lost my MO-JO!!!
I posted a card in June and haven't really crafted since..... I have several projects started, but I'm not in the mood to finish. I'm 3/4 of the way done rearranging/organizing my craftroom but don't want to finish......
Family/friends said take a vacation.....so I did....I want to see my niece in Dallas and went to several craft stores and Ikea and The Container Store and bought NOTHING!!!! Believe Me,  I had a long wish list of things to get but changed my mind. Now its September and the holidays are quickly approaching and theres crafts I want to make but I'm just not in the mood......I watch youtube videos and save them, I check pinterest and blogs and craft sites( scrapbook.com and splitcoast stampers) and nothing interests me.
I just don't know what to do...... :(
Any suggestions????

Anniversary card

Saw this card in the Silhouette store and I just had to get it. It's so Cute!!!
Its for my brother and sister in law's anniversary.
it'll fit in an A2 envelope. I used AC silver and gold cardstock for the toaster and adapted the pattern so I'd have an outside and inside piece of buttered toast.

 I love this toaster/card!!!

AG Minc machine

Two weeks ago Anna Griffin was on HSN with a Minc 6" foiling machine (mini minc).
I've seen a lot of youtube videos on this foiling and was very interested.
I'm a card maker and this mini size I couldn't resist!!!
It arrived late yesterday, so I played with it this morning.
I LOVE the mini size, it sits on top of my jetmax cubes.
WARNING! I only had it on about 15 minutes and my jetmax cube was very warm, so I went and got a glass trivet out of the kitchen to put it on.

Here's some samples I played with:
on the left the rose gold and on the right the gold

so SHINY!!!!

this is the gold- you can't see it but there is quite a bit of blank spots and I even ran it thru again and it didn't help much. The setting was at 3.

this is the rose gold and I reread the directions (machines will very) so I put the setting to 4 and YES! much better!!!

I LOVE FOILING!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not a fan of Anna Griffin designs and I got the auto ship, I think I'll cancel the auto ship and get a laser printer....I have a Silhouette so WOW!!! the designs would be endless!!!
If you have the Cricut Explore you can print your designs also.
AG also has glitter sheets - I need to go play....bye - HAPPY FOILING!!
