clic on pics to enlarge
ROTFLOL!! This is what I'm taking into work for my co-workers..yep..I have to WORK Christmas day!!
The tree is from Tags Bags Boxes and more cut @ 5.75H(it will hold a bag of M&M's and a small candy cane) I used every color of green cardstock I had...LOL The ornaments are from the Christmas cart cut @ .69h with red metallic cardstock and a silver gel pen and applied w/glue dots.  Garland is from Gypsy Wanderings (shift-row 2 key 5) cut @ .25h I welded a bunch together till I had 11"(one for each box), I used gold glitter cardstock it was glued down with tom bow glue.  Star is from Martha Stewart Seasonal Cake cart cut @ 1.03h ran thru the xyron and dipped in SU Dazzleing Diamonds glitter and applied with SU dimentionals. The trunk is from George & Basic Shapes a rectangle cut at 3.50h x .95w, embossed w/cuttlebug Broken Branches and used Close to Cocoa cardstock and used the tape runner. On the back I used an ol stamp and heat embossed with White.
A LOT of work but it's worth it..HUH?
I cut the tree that had the slits on the side and I'll thread a ribbon thru it.

a PURS-ONAL Thank You

clic on pic to enlarge

Well, after being out sick for 7 weeks. I finally returned to work and a co-worker gave me a very nice gift and Bless her...every time I've taken the mini purses into work she wasn't working and didn't get a purse. So she has been bugging me for a purse and so instead of a thank you card I made her a purse!!!! LOL she was overwhelmed with DELITE!!!!!! cuz...she didn't get an ordinary mini paper purse....she got a faux leather mid size purse with a flower filled w/dove chocolates!!!! ROTFLOL!!! I cut the purse from TBBM @ 5" and embossed it with tiny mosaics folder then heat embossed it to give it the leather look and used the flower die. Added a 1/4" strap and a velcro dot to close it.
supplies:
SU cardstock Night of Navy and More Mustard and More Mustard marker
Clear embossing powder
Tiny mosaics embossing folder
flower die (don't know where I got it...had it for years)
1/4" black ribbon

She was so funny....when I gave her the purse, she dumped the chocolates out.....she didn't want them to melt in her "leather" purse and then she had to show EVERYONE she got a special leather purse.....LOL!!

GORGEOUS beyond belief

clic on pic to enlarge
ROTFLOL!!!! I amaze myself sometimes..... I'm VERY creative..
As you know I designed an octagon box....How many of you thought this was pretty? NOT!!!!!

The lid was a little snug, so I enlarged it a tad and came up with this....the design is from the Ornamental Iron cart and I used Chomas Creations MICRO mini marker and SU glossy white cs. Isn't it PRETTY!!! I think I might add rhinestones to the sides of the lid and maybe the center.

BUT WAIT!!!!!!
Thats pretty.... lets take it further........
NOW this is what I'm talking about.....GORGEOUS beyond belief!!!!!!

I recut the box with SU glossy white cs and then went back with the Micro mini marker and drew my design.
Isn't it GORGEOUS??!!!! Oh, I had to make a new lid too.

I'm speechless!! I can't believe I created something so GORGEOUS!!!! I wonder how the glitter pens would look??? or maybe emboss it???? WOWZA!!!! OK, I'm done....

Hexagon vs. Octagon

clic on pic to enlarge
As you all know I LOVE CONTAINERS!!
On the Cricut MB someone made a GORGEOUS container. Link below

http://momandmeplayingwithpaper.blogspot.com/

WOW!! I'm going to try and make that on my gypsy......
ROTFLOL!!!! DUH! STUPID!!! she made a hexagon...thats 6 sides....I made an octagon...LOL thats 8 sides.......OH WELL!!! I like mine BETTER!!!! I didn't weld the sides to the bottom or to the top....That way I can "change it". BRILLIANT!!! Aren't I!!!!!!   It still needs to be tweaked, I'm a profectionist!! but I thought I'd show you what I've done so far.
The octagon shape is from George and Basic shapes cart and the sides on the container and lid are TAGS from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cart. How EASY is that??!!
I used white cs for my test cuts but they weren't coming out to well on the camera so I'll show my multi color box I was working on.(I decided I didn't like the purple w/green and yellow and there were gaps on the sides..so it's a do over)

SIDES:

INSIDE:

Now for the lids (I inked the edges)-

Good

BETTER

BEST!!!!

I know, I know, my box is NOTHING like the link I showed you. She INSPIRED ME though!! and one day...Yes, I'll make a HEXAGON box....I'm just excited that I made a box....it ain't easy!!!! I'm not good with numbers obviously...LOL!!!!  I'll post again with the perfect box...hopefully soon!

Couldn't "CONTAIN" myself

clic on pic to enlarge
ROTFLOL!!! I LOVE containers!!! I'm addicted to them!!!
So several weeks ago...I thought to myself...What containers do I have???
I looked thru all my carts and cut each one out and this is what I have so far......

Tags, Bags, Boxes and More(17)

All Wrapped Up(10)-Imagine cart.

Imagine More Cards(4)-Imagine cart

Best Friends(1)-Imagine cart

Handyman(1)

Spring Holiday Cards(4)-I cut just the boxes

Plantin Schoolbook(4)

Yummy(1)-Imagine cart

Buccaneer(1)-Imagine cart

Lifes a Party(10)

I LOVE this COFFIN!! LOL I got the paper design from the Buccaneer cart-I'm using this for Halloween!!!

Wrap it Up(50)- I HATE these containers!!! you don't get the layers so your containers look incomplete!! YUCK!!!  someone on the cricut board suggested that you use the layers for the card then shrink it down to fit your container(you would need a gypsy or DS to do this). These are the main containers, out of the 50...these are the 3 I will use and try to do the above. Don't get me wrong, this cart is SUPER for cards!!! but for containers its not worth it!!!in the photo below you can see some of the containers from this cart..I didn't make them all...I was getting to upset how unfinished they were looking.

Did you ADD it all up??? theres 103 containers...ROTFLOL!!!!

Out of all those I'm only going to be using 96 of them...the others were either repeats or I didn't care for it

Now I will put all these keepers in a bigger container and when I need a container...I can "see" what I have a choice of.....Pretty Smart HUH!!!!! Want to do this too.....heres a tip!!! After I cut each piece I wrote the: cart, page#, key# and size. That way when I decide what container I want to make I can see where I got it from....

HELP ME!!! I have enough containers RIGHT? NOT....I want Tie the Knot and Sweet Tooth.....aaaaarrrrrgghhh.......

PINK RIBBON

Clic on pic to enlarge

A co-worker finished her Chemo. So we had a party for her. I made the card from Create a Critter and Lyrical Letters.

I decorated the tables with the flowers. I got the idea of the flowers from http://www.frenchiestamps.com/2010/09/paper-flower.html
They are so easy and turn out so PRETTY!!!

I made the cake boxes from TBBM, for the pink frosting I welded pink ribbons to a triangle using my gypsy. I put Lifesavers in the boxes. I embossed the sides of the boxes with the folder Broken branches. I made 24 cake boxes.

I made BIG Pink Ribbons (using Stand and Salute cart.) to decorate the door and I used Justrite stamps for the center.

Cakebox

CLIC ON PIC TO ENLARGE
I made these cakeboxes from TBBM for my nieces Bridal Shower.
I shrunk the boxes down on my gypsy to 6.43 X 5.16 (cut 4 out of 12x12)
I embossed using D'Vine Swirls.

On just the embossing I added Crystal Effects and Sprinkled MS Crystal Fine glitter

Using SU cardstock Sage Shadow I cut 2 strips 3/8"w x 4-1/2"L ran them thru the crimper. The first strip I formed my loops and the second strip is the tails folded in half and slighly spread apart. I then cut a tiny piece 3/4"Lx3/8"w and wrapped it around the center of my loops then attached the tails to the back.

With Brown cardstock I cut a strip 1"w x 8-1/2"L and folded in half and embossed using Distressed Stripes. I ran red tacky tape along the top and bottom and placed the tip of the cakebox in the brown fold. Make sure the brown runs along the bottom edge of the box, it won't come to the top and thats fine cause the "icing" drippy goo punch will cover the chocolate edge. Cut off excess.
For the icing I cut a strip 6-1/4 X 1" and used the MS drippy goo punch, I then trimmed the strip down to 9/16"w added red tacky tape and attached it to the top along the sides of the box. Trim excess.
On the back I cut a piece of white cardstock 1-1/2"w x 1"h and edged it in Sage Shadow and using my 6pt Justrite stamps, I stamped the sentiment. (hint...the box will be filled with hugs and kisses chocolates)

I have the opening of the box upwards so when they open it the chocolate doesn't fall out and I made a little "pull" tab so they'll know how to open it.

I made 20+ boxes and formed 2 circles using 10 boxes a circle and then made a rose to put in the centers.
